About Oumou

Hello everyone! My name is Oumou and I am a first-year internal medicine resident physician. I created this blog so that pre-meds, especially URMs, have someone they can relate to as they pursue medicine and for me to share my personal thoughts. This journey of medicine is tough, therefore, wanted to create a space where I could give my thoughts and advice while also being vulnerable about the path. There needs to be more representation in medicine and as a Black Muslim woman, I hope to use this platform to aid in that.
